Thomas Donovan was a paediatric patient at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center. He was brought into the hospital after suffering from headaches and losing some of his peripheral vision.

Biography[]

Thomas was brought into the hospital by both of his parents after complaining about a headache while his father also said that he appeared to be losing some of his peripheral vision as well. Dr. Choi ran a full blood panel on Thomas but was unable to get any answers from it.

Following a CT scan, MRI, and a consult from Dr. Abrams, he and his parents are informed that he has a benign brain tumour which is pushing on his optic chiasm which is causing his ever worsening vision loss. He needs surgery.

Dr. Choi believes that he may have an endocrinological problem as the tumour is based in his pituitary gland, slow pulse, slow reaction times, and short statue for his age. Dr. Abrams allows him to run blood panels.

Following the tests, Thomas' parents are told that surgery isn't nessercary as he doesn't have a benign tumour but is seriously hypothyroid. The mass on his pituitary was a hyperplasia. All of his problems can be treated with medications and he'll be fine.
