While attending her mother's birthday party, Tara goes into labor and is forced to deliver on site because the elevator to the rooftop restaurant has malfunctioned. Sharon delivers Tara's son with the help of Daniel Charles and Anna Charles.

Tara is distraught when her father Bert brings her son Isaiah into the ED after they had an accident where Bert fell on his grandson. Tara tries to convince her mother Sharon that Bert has been acting strange for a while, but Sharon brushes it off as just part of who he is. When Tara shows her mother a nanny cam video of Bert being extremely confused at home, Sharon realizes there is something seriously wrong with him.
