Sean Archer is the son of Dr. Dean Archer and his ex-wife Leanne. He is portrayed by Luigi Sottile.
Biography[]
Sean is a convicted felon who did time in prison for drugs, causing a decade-long estrangement from his father. After he was released, he took a job as a valet driver for Gaffney Chicago Medical Center.
He is shown to have feelings for Dr. Hannah Asher after spending time with her. He reveals this to both Dean and Hannah when he suspects they are seeing each other, but this was not the case.
When Dean goes into kidney failure, Sean decides he wants to donate one of his kidneys to his father. Despite many setbacks, the donation is eventually successful.

Sean reports to pre-op in preparation for donating his kidney to his father.
This Town ain't Big Enough for the Both of Us[]
Right before the transplant surgery, Sean lies to Dean and Hannah that he called his mother Leanne the previous night to inform her of the procedure and that she is ok with it. After the kidney has already been taken out, Leanne arrives to the hospital in a rush to try to prevent the transplant. She is eventually convinced to let it go and the transplant goes on as planned.
These Are Not the Droids You Are Looking For[]
Sean stops by the ED to announce that he has quit his valet job at the hospital to take a new position as a recovery coach at the rehab center, run by Margo Collins.
I Make a Promise, I Will Never Leave You[]
Sean accompanies a patient who he has been counseling at the drug rehab clinic who is in heart failure due to his past use of drugs, and implores his dad Dean to save him. Sean is distraught when the patient ends up passing away.
Season 10[]
Sean is fired from Margo Collins' clinic due to a difference in opinion on how to approach patient care. He decides to move back to Florida to live with his mother for a while.
