Sink or Swim[]
Cassidy's wife Wendy is a victim of a ship sinking. Ms. Goodwin is told to chose between two patients (one being Cassidy's wife, the other being the person who caused the crash) to receive the last blood available. Ms. Goodwin chose the person who caused the crash because he was more likely to benefit, and Caitlin Lenox, the co-head of the emergency department at the time as well as Wendy's doctor agreed. Wendy ended up passing away later that day.
In between Sink or Swim and Love Will Tear Us Apart, Ms. Goodwin receives many threatening letters, one talking about slitting her throat and watching her bleed out.
Love Will Tear Us Apart[]
Ms. Goodwin goes back up into her office to grab something and is met by Cassidy. She tells her what her plan is (to kill Sharon) and her motive (Sharon letting her wife die). After some time, Cassidy stabs Sharon in the abdomen. Sharon is later low on blood sugar and convinces Cassidy to give her orange juice. When she begins to deteriorate, she tells Cassidy that she is not scared of death from all her years working as a nurse. Later, a letter is slipped under her door (a resignation letter from Dean Archer) and she knows she has to make her move. Sharon hits Cassidy over the head with a bottle and runs, seeing the elevator doors closing in on Dean, as Cassidy is following her close behind.
Don't You Cry[]
Cassidy requests to have Sharon visit her in jail. When she comes, Cassidy asks for forgiveness, and Sharon does not comply.
