Ainsley Towne is an actress who knows John Frost from his childhood acting career. She is portrayed by Jessalyn Gilsig.
Season 10[]
She was first introduced in Down in a Hole when she came into Gaffney looking for Dr Frost who she hadn't seen in 17 years. It is later known that she portrayed Frost's mom in Nick Of Time during his childhood acting career. She came to Chicago for work to film a movie which involves a nurse. To which Maggie offers to let her shadow her for a crash course in nursing to which she accepts.
She is later seen in the Locker Room with John as he looks at his phone about the well collapse Ripley was involved in. He wishes he could do something to help, to which she offers to comforts him and romantic tension fills the air and she almost kisses John but they pull back awkwardly.
In Poster Child she is seen talking to Frost wondering about how Dr Ripley is recovering following the well collapse, she is relived hearing that Ripley is recovering well. She offers to buy dinner to which Frost accepts
Later on she walks in on Frost in the supply room. as Maggie needed Gauze and sent her. She is proud that Frost made it into the health industry.
